Teen Manners Classes 

Our popular Teen Manners Classes will open for registration on June 15 (12 am.)

Mondays- July 12 @ 6:30pm

Wednesdays- July 21 @ 7:45pm

Sundays- July 25 @ 4pm and 5:15pm

Tuesdays- July 27 @ 7:45pm

Classes are held outside & inside the training centre.  

Social distance and masks required.  

One person per dog when inside.

Teen or adolescent dog learning manners.

 NOTE: Classes are not suited to reactive or aggressive dogs.

Your growing puppy is ready for high school.

 

These action-packed classes sharpen basic skills and tackle new challenges.

 

Your adorable puppy is growing fast and new behaviours emerge.  We are experts at working with rambunctious or shy teens and recommend starting soon after Puppy Class.  Teen-like adults may also register.

 

Through real-life challenge themes such as Meet and Greet, Home Office, Neighbourhood Walk, Company for Coffee, Park Visit and Dinner Time, we address:

 

Problem Behaviours:

  • Pulling on leash

  • Grabbing things

  • Not coming when called

  • Pestering

  • Undesirable chewing

  • Demand barking

  • Jumping up

 

Obedience Skills: 

  • Sit to Greet

  • Down/Stay with distractions      

  • Recall

  • Dog-dog greetings

  • Loose leash walking

  • Heel

  • Leave it

  • Verbal Cues

 

Requirements:

Dogs must be: 

  • completely friendly with strangers and dogs

  • over 4 months old

  • wearing flat-collar or harness and regular flat leash

  • healthy, with proof of vaccination status

Recommendations:

  • Hold back all or most of dog’s dinner on class nights

  • Bring yummy, irresistible food rewards in a treat pouch.

  • Have occupying activities (eg. frozen stuffed Kong, small snuffle mat, chew stick, toys, etc.

  • Wear comfortable clothing and footwear.

  • Bring dog’s water dish and a water bottle. (optional - we also have water bowls)

  • Bring a towel or mat for your dog to settle comfortably on.

 

 

Tuition: 6 x 1-hour classes is $299 including GST.

 

  • The first night is an important information session. (humans only)

  • Small class size - 5 dogs.

  • Supportive learning with one instructor and one or more assistant
